Welcome to Cold Ash St. Mark's Church of England Primary School

Congratulations to the Cross Country Team from Year 4, 5 and 6 who took part in the West Berkshire Competition at the Newbury Showground. There were 1251 finishers overall - which is a new UK record!

Our values

We believe each child is unique and offer an education that helps to develop this uniqueness, developing their skills for lifelong learning. The school values that the staff, governors, parents and children have chosen are:

Belonging and Believing

Respecting and Enjoying

Generosity and Kindness

The school bases the behaviour policy on the Christian Values of Love, Hope and Joy. Thes values are embedded in the over arching six values listed above. In love, we show respect for one another and for all living things. In hope, we strive for a better world and try our best to reach our own personal goals. In joy we find fellowship, friendship and laughter.

Letter from the headteacher

On behalf of all the staff at St.Mark's School I would like to extend a warm welcome.

St. Mark's school was built in 1960's and is the second school on its current site. The school has grown since this period and has been added to and whilst we don't have a modern building, if you dare to step inside you will find all that you could hope for in a school. We are always proud of the achievements our children make, both academically and in their own personal lives. We encourage children to be independent and develop resilience, because we know that these are just some of the skills needed to cope with life in the 21st Century. Children are given lots of opportunity to shine during their time at school, be it taking part in a school play or assembly, participating in sport  or music,  representing the class on the school council, becoming a house captain or librarian. We hope that your child will shine and will develop a love for learning during their time at Cold Ash St.Mark's.
