Pupil Premium and Free School Meals

Additional funding is provided to the school by the government for children who fall into the following groups:

  • children eligible for free school meals
  • children who are fostered or adopted
  • children whose parents are in the armed forces.

The aim of this funding is to provide additional support so that children from more disadvantaged backgrounds can reach their full potential. Although all children in KS1 are eligible for free school meals, all parents on lower incomes should still apply for Pupil Premium funding which may be used to support their child in other areas of their learning at school.

If you think your child may be eligible for Pupil Premium funding please follow this link to find out more.

Pupil Premium funding can be spent at the school's discretion. All schools are asked by the local authority and the government to report on how this money has been spent and how it has made a difference to the children whom it has been used to support.

Our policy for the allocation of Pupil Premium funding can be found on our policies page. Summaries of how we have used the money can be seen by clicking the links below.
