Saturday 6th October - TAG Rugby Tournament at Henwick Sports Ground

Eleven children from Years 5 and 6 and eleven children from Years 3 and 4 braved the cold and very wet weather to play in the first tournament of the year. They had the fantastic support of their parents and grandparents too!

Our younger children played four games in all and for many it was their first competitive game of TAG rugby. Once they mastered the game and playing together as a team, they started to win and we are all proud of their efforts. They lost one game, drew one and won two!

Many of our older team had played before so had a better grasp of the game. Being highly competitive, they won all five games they played - even when the ball was wet and slippy. There was a lot of determined effort for each try scored - though some made it look easy!

Well done St.Mark's -- from a very proud headteacher!
