Our Vision

Our children -

Believing in their future

Achieving for their future

Together with our families and our community, we are committed to preparing our children for the opportunities, experiences and responsibilities of our changing world through:

* A belief that everyone is equally precious to God

* An education inspired by Christian values

* Nurturing the gifts we all bring

* Fostering a love of learning

* Balancing personal development and academic achievement

Our Aims and Beliefs

At St Mark’s we aim to provide an education based on the Christian principles which cares for, respects and develops the distinctive personality of each child and encourages them to reach their full potential.

We aim to provide a caring, purposeful atmosphere, conductive to learning; where all children can learn to be resourceful, independent and adaptable learners.  As a school with a Church of England Foundation, the whole school community seeks to celebrate and make clear the Christian values by which it lives.

Religious Education is an important part of the curriculum and is planned and provided for in the same way as the National Curriculum Foundation subjects.  Being a village school with strong links with the Church we believe in developing these links to encompass the whole village community.

Whilst aiming to secure equal opportunities for the boys and girls in our care, we also ensure that the needs of all ethnic groups are met and those with special needs are identified and provided for.

It is our intention to establish an environment in which teaching and non-teaching staff, Governors, parents and the children can work with each other for the successful achievement of the aims of the school.
